Every time before any exam, I feel a knot in my stomach and have a sensation of choking throat. I have tried to avoid it by exercising lots of measures like meditation, listening to music, going out to take fresh air but nothing helps.
Again this year the same thing is happening with me. I am getting stressed a lot and feel like I am drowning in deep water. Whatever I do, I fail in it. My mind doesn’t want to sleep, it is keeping me totally busy by overthinking, which I detest totally.
I know overthinking leads to nothing but trauma to your mind but still the mind is busy in doing it. We all have this tendency to tell everybody what to do and what not to do. But what they forget is to practice it. I think I also belong to the same category.
I try to not be stressed but I don’t know why my mind stops listening to me and becomes my master. I have a strong grasp on my mind always and avert it from all the negative thoughts. But during exams, it overpowers me and becomes my master.
I am fighting and will keep on fighting with this inner demon. Maybe today I am not that strong but the time will come when I will not let my mind rule over me.
I know my weaknesses and try to rectify it and turn it into my strength. And will nail down this weakness as well.
I have read somewhere that if you are disturbed about something, write down about the problem and it will lead to less stress. And today it really helped me as when I started writing I was drowning but now I am breathing and feeling much better. So yes, I have got a solution for my stress. I just have to see whether it will work in the long run or not.
And till then if I come up with another solution, I will try to share with you all that also. As I know, I am not the only person who is going through such problems but there are many like me. When I can feel free, then maybe this technique will help them as well.
By recognizing and talking about our weaknesses only, we win half of the battle, what is left we can win with strong will power.
